My Approach to Design
Assess
the client’s business and provide an end product that
increases their visibility in the marketplace and provides a
positive image to their prospective customers.
My Design Talents
My design
expertise is in corporate identity, branding, print
collateral and two-dimensional exhibit graphics. I
collaborate with web designers on projects that have web
requirements. Theme development and wordsmithing are also
strong suits; I created the themes shown with the logos on
this site.
My Logo
My
personal logo serves as example of my design approach. My
name is displayed in a hand-printed font that reflects my
personality, casual and friendly. The word “designs” is a
classic, serif typeface typically associated with business.
My Web Site
The look
of this web site is in keeping with my belief that
functionality and information take precedent. Its intention
is to give you a snapshot of my design style and allow you
to quickly assess my talents. The color on each page is the
color found in the logo to produce maximum impact and visual
attraction.
My Style
These
samples show my preference for strong, vivid colors and
geometric shapes. I firmly believe in the old adage “keep it
simple.” Less is more. Fast recognition is key. Clean,
straightforward design stands the test of time. Trendy
typefaces and colors lose their appeal as the next design
trend emerges.
